I am feeling emence pleasure to inform you all that on 24th April 2009, my home business shop "Sahbir Hardware" has completed its 10 years of operations. I still remember the day when my father started the shop way back in 1999 with a mare capital of 32,000 at Jatkauli Ghat,one of the remotest village of vaishali district in Bihar. Since then there is no looking back as far as the business is concerned. Today we have a yearly turnover of more than Rs. 20 Lakhs and its doing well in all the aspects.
Sahbir Hardware delas in all kind of building materails incluiding cement, iron, stone chips, sand, cenetaey items etc. When we opened the shop in 1999, there were hardly any similar shop around the village but in the span of 10 years we have 3 more shops dealing in same kind of business. This competition has given us a low margin but due to heavy volume out profits has been intact.
I must confess, this shop has contributed a lot in my higher studies. Whatever i am today, all the expenses for that has been coming from the profits of this shop. An emotional connection but yes no doubt it has been the sole source of income for my family of 5.
We hope that, we will continue to run this business for a long long time and probably on its completion of 15th year i will come along with another blog and a turnover figure of 50Lakhs.
